Meet the Owner
Wake Up Women Inc. is a nonprofit organization for women in Georgia owned by Yvonne Spencer. She has four sons and three grandchildren. Yvonne was born on December 28, 1969, and was raised in Harlem, New York City. Her parents are Louis Willie Spencer Sr. and Jacquline Pauline Spencer, who are both deceased.
She has been through a lot of ups and downs: drug addiction, alcoholism, battered woman, and also a victim of sexual harassment in the military. With all the things she has been through, she believes that the Lord has seen her through it all.
The Lord took her by the hand and turned her world around. Jesus Christ, who loved her, turned an unclean soul into a clean soul. He took away those addictions and that pain, which was holding her down away.
