The Helpers of Women

Don’t hesitate to reach out to us to learn more about our nonprofit organization that aims to help women in Georgia.

Meet the Owner

Wake Up Women Inc. is a nonprofit organization for women in Georgia owned by Yvonne Spencer. She has four sons and three grandchildren. Yvonne was born on December 28, 1969, and was raised in Harlem, New York City. Her parents are Louis Willie Spencer Sr. and Jacquline Pauline Spencer, who are both deceased.

She has been through a lot of ups and downs: drug addiction, alcoholism, battered woman, and also a victim of sexual harassment in the military. With all the things she has been through, she believes that the Lord has seen her through it all.

The Lord took her by the hand and turned her world around. Jesus Christ, who loved her, turned an unclean soul into a clean soul. He took away those addictions and that pain, which was holding her down away.

VICE PRESIDENT

Jennifer currently serves as the vice president and she is one part of  Wake Up Women Inc. She is a very dedicated woman, who cares about her ladies and goes out of her way to make sure they are taken care.  Jennifer supports the President by overseeing internal operations and stepping in when the president is unavailable. A vice president job is not easy it is a top-level leadership role and Jennifer is on the job.

TREASURE/YOUTH COORDINATOR

Sandra loves kids and has worked as a crossing guard and a youth Sunday school teacher for many years.  As our youth coordinator her main focus is on developing and facilitating programs for children in various settings that enhance and support personal youth education and development. In the process of loving on the children she also manages the company finances.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

The person working in the background is Erika; just because you can't see her doesn't mean she isn't performing her duties. Erika is a capable person who handles projects and programs, including ongoing duties that keep our program running well. As a result of her commitment, the company has given her the authority to make some higher-level decisions.

Mission Statement

Wake Up Women’s mission is to assist women in any situation. We want to provide them with shelter, therapy, and other things they might need. Our organization wants to awaken hope for any women who seek support or assistance through this sisterhood.

Vision Statement

Wake Up Women raise money to help women achieve their best goals in life. Our mission is to connect women all over the world. We want to build confidence in women and see their potential.

We help women that have been through some hard times, whether it was: drug use, a transition for being incarcerated or homeless, an abusive relationship, gang violence, and many more. Our sisterhood strives to provide transitional housing and emotional support, with help from the community.

Through community partnerships, Wake Up Women will offer services to help women change their situations from all of the old things and back into society.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
